Wicked....BFF's

We got to see the Broadway musical Wicked last night at ASU's Gammage auditorium in Tempe. It was amazingly good, the music is so great and the story of two witches who become best friends and forever change each other is so touching! It makes me so happy to know that I am lucky enough to have a Bestie and a BFF!

I love you both so much, you have both changed my life For Good!

Kayaking and Eagles

We had a great day kayaking last weekend north of Payson at Woods Canyon Lake. There was an eagles nest on the bank of the lake and we were lucky enough to see both the adult eagles and the 10 week old eaglet. Here is one of the adults...

You can see the nest in the middle of the picture at the top of the tree.
There were a couple of game and fish workers at the lake with spotting scopes keeping track of the eagles and we were able to get a good close up look at the nest while one of the adults was delivering some food to the eaglet. The young eagle is all dark when it's born and won't get it's typical white head and adult coloring for a few years.
While we were watching the young eagle was hopping around the nest spreading his wings and testing them out. It will be another week or two before he can fly and leave the nest for the first time. We felt so lucky to have been there this week to get a good look at them!

Game and Fish workers monitoring the nest.....Just one more job that is cooler than mine......

Oh and I can't forget to mention that Bill made us a kickin' Lee Bros. fried chicken box lunch with cole slaw potato salad and a biscuit! YUM!

Sidewalk Chalk Cousins

the kids were drawing with sidewalk chalk the other night but I didn't see these cute chalk cousins until today and it made me smile!
